​At St James you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Many of our children take advantage of our instrumental music program. Private lessons are available for all students.

In partnership with Villanova College, our Year Four students participate in our Instrumental Immersion Program. ​All students are given an instrument to learn, and together they form the St James School Band.

St James also has before and after school clubs. Visiting companies hold clinics and classes for our students. These are communicated to parents each term. Our clubs include tennis, soccer, robotics, dance, choir, Sports Aerobics, chess and lots more!

Each term we also have visiting coaching clinics for students. Visiting organisations such as Brisbane Roar Soccer, Brisbane Lions AFL, Rookies to Reds and Qld Cricket introduce sports to children during their school day with their peers.

St James students also offers the opportunity to participate in external competitions including the International Competitions and Assessments for School (ICAS), BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge and STEM Week.
