St James Primary School is proud of its strong Arts program. St James has a dedicated Arts teacher who is a specialist in providing learning experiences in the whole Arts Curriculum – Visual Art, Music, Drama and Media. All students in Prep to Year Six have a weekly Arts lesson.

In addition to the weekly Arts lesson, students have the opportunity to participate in instrumental music and choir. St James has a vibrant instrumental program for all children.

The band participates in festivals such as the Queensland Catholic Colleges Music Festival (QCMF) in August, school celebrations and other times during the year.
